In temperatures that dipped into the 30's, the Bixby Spartans Varsity outlasted Broken Arrow on Friday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 5-4 win at Home.

The Spartans took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. They went up for good on an RBI double by Logan Gipson scoring Zach Reynolds. 

Ryan Fahringer shut down Broken Arrow while he was on the bump. Broken Arrow managed just two hits off of Fahringer, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out four during his four innings of work.

In the bottom of the second inning, the Spartans grabbed the early lead, 2-0. A single by Marshall Ray, plating Jake Schnare started the inning off.  Bixby then tacked on more runs when Cavalli scored on an RBI single by Senior Chase Barber, who went 2 for 3 for the game, including 2 RBI's.
